What statuses does it return?
Each address is marked valid, invalid, catch-all (the domain accepts every address, so the mailbox can’t be confirmed) or unknown, so you can filter before sending.
Which verification provider does it use?
You bring your own API key for ZeroBounce, NeverBounce or MillionVerifier; Octopi runs each address through it.
Why verify before sending?
Sending to invalid addresses hurts your sender reputation and deliverability — cleaning the list first avoids bounces.
Is my list uploaded?
No. Your list stays on your Mac; each address is sent only to the verifier you choose, directly from your machine.
