Questions
Which HubSpot records can it fill?
It creates contacts, companies and tasks from your rows, can mark tasks complete and link contacts to tasks, and can read a record’s latest activity. It can also update fields on records that already exist — by default it fills only empty fields, and it replaces existing values only when your task says so.
Will it create duplicates?
No. Octopi searches HubSpot for a matching record first and reuses it instead of creating a duplicate.
Does it work with Salesforce too?
Yes. The same plain-English workflow fills Salesforce records, so you can use either CRM.
Where does my data go?
Only where you send it: the records you ask for are written to your own HubSpot portal, and web lookups go directly from your Mac. Your spreadsheets, contact lists and prompts are not sent to Octopi’s servers — only usage statistics and scrubbed error reports, which you can switch off in Settings ▸ Privacy.
